DISEC: Addressing Emerging Threats in Cybersecurity and International Stability
In this committee, delegates will examine the growing impact of cyber threats on international peace and security. As state and non-state actors increasingly utilize cyberspace for espionage, disruption, and hybrid warfare, the need for clear norms and collective security mechanisms becomes more urgent.
Debate will focus on state responsibility in cyberspace, protection of critical infrastructure, prevention of cyber warfare escalation, and the development of international regulatory frameworks. Delegates will work toward balanced and enforceable solutions that enhance global cybersecurity while respecting sovereignty and international law.
